15 students treated by paramedics after eating marijuana edibles

A student allegedly brought marshmallow marijuana edibles to school and distributed them to fellow students

PHILADELPHIA — Paramedics treated at least 15 middle school students after they consumed marshmallow squares laced with marijuana.

Police received a report of several students getting sick at the West Oak Lane Charter School, the Philly Voice reported. A student allegedly brought the laced edible treats to school and distributed them among to fellow students.

Authorities believe the student purchased the marijuana edibles online and may face charges. (Photo/Pixabay)

Paramedics transported the students to a local hospital for evaluation.
