PLATTE CITY, Mo. — Fitch & Associates announced recent achievements across two leadership development programs for EMS and emergency communications professionals.
Forty-one EMS and public safety professionals completed the Spring 2026 Ambulance Service Manager program. The blended-learning course included online instruction and two separate weeks of classroom training in San Antonio focused on developing leadership skills for EMS managers.
Participants received instruction from EMS industry leaders, including Brenda Staffan, Anthony Minge, Hannah Fitch, Todd Stout and Kevin Preston.
Montorony “Monty” Jenkins, deputy chief of EMS at Berkeley County EMS in South Carolina, received the Spring 2026 ASM leadership award, which is selected by classmates. Alberta “Berta” Broomhall was recognized as runner-up.
Two ASM capstone projects were selected for presentation at the 2026 Pinnacle EMS Leadership Conference in San Diego: “Building Leaders Before the Badge” and “Recognition Without Stability: Advocacy Engagement, Essential Service Designation, and Funding Barriers in U.S. Emergency Medical Services.”
Fitch & Associates also announced that a project group from its Communication Center Manager course received the Research Poster of the Year from the International Academies of Emergency Dispatch at the 2026 Navigator Conference.
