ATLANTA — The city bought two ambulances for the Atlanta Fire Rescue Department following reports of delayed arrivals by Grady EMS for at least a year, Fox 5 Atlanta reported Friday.
The news comes on the same day as an Atlanta Constitution-Journal report about a man who suffered a stroke and had to wait more than 90 minutes for an ambulance.
John Hanson, senior vice president of Grady Emergency Medical Services told the AC-J that the impending closure of the emergency department at Wellstar Atlanta Medical Center South will affect response times.
