TURLOCK, Calif. — An ambulance was hit by another vehicle while transporting a patient, injuring paramedics and firefighters in the rig.
According to CBS 13 Sacramento, the ambulance was transporting a patient with major injuries at the time, along with three firefighter and two AMR paramedics.
Two of the firefighters and both paramedics sustained injuries during the crash.
Reports from the scene say the original patient now has life-threatening injuries, and the driver of the vehicle that crashed into the ambulance was also injured and transported to the hospital.
