Texas county partnership launches dedicated ambulance service focused on response times

A taxpayer-funded partnership with Allegiance Mobile Health will provide 24/7 ambulance coverage to rural areas of Jasper County, aiming to cut response times

JASPER COUNTY, Texas — Residents of Jasper County Emergency Services District 3 now have a dedicated ambulance service through Allegiance Mobile Health, which officials say will improve response times and care for those outside city limits.

Funded by local taxpayers, the service aims to deliver faster, more reliable emergency medical assistance to rural families, 12 News Now reported.

The new Jasper County ESD 3–Allegiance Mobile Health partnership caps months of planning and coordination to boost public safety. ESD 3 leaders secured the agreement amid rising concerns about access to emergency care in rural areas, where every minute counts.

“Emergency medical response is a lifeline for our community,” ESD 3 President Gary Barlow said. “By working with Allegiance Mobile Health, we’ve ensured that our residents have a dedicated ambulance ready to respond when emergencies arise. This is a true example of taxpayer dollars at work, protecting lives and strengthening our community.”

Officials said the service was launched despite minimal cooperation from city leaders, with ESD 3 officials determined to make sure rural residents receive the emergency medical care they deserve.
