PORTLAND, Texas — A 5-year-old girl saved her mother after the woman had a seizure while swimming in the family’s swimming pool.
MSN.com reported Tracy Anderwald lost consciousness during the seizure. Her daughter, Allison, got into the pool and took her to the shallow end. Allison managed to turn her face up so she could breathe.
Allison then ran to alert her relatives, who called 911.
Anderwald was hospitalized for several days following the incident.
“I did not know where I was,” she said. “They did not tell me (about the incident) for a while.”
Anderwald said Allison learned how to swim when she was two.
