STILLWATER, N.J. — A medic transporting a patient from a the scene of a house fire died Tuesday in an ambulance crash.
Officials say the medic apparently had a medical emergency and crashed the ambulance into a utility pole; the medic was pronounced dead at the scene. The patient survived, according to NJ.com.
After the incident, the patient was transferred to another ambulance and taken to the hospital.
The fire – which killed on person -- is now being investigated by the town’s arson and major crimes units.
