East Alabama Fire District firefighters turned their bay floor into an “Olympic” arena

VALLEY, Ala. — A playful Facebook video from East Alabama Fire District Station 1 is racking up views after firefighters staged their own “Olympics” event using a fully loaded stretcher as the centerpiece.

In the clip, the crew introduces “Stretcher Push Curling – EAFD Style,” sliding the stretcher across the station’s smooth concrete floor and joking that a clean glide into the back of the ambulance is worthy of “a gold medal moment.”

The video, posted on Feb. 17, has surpassed 425,000 views within 24 hours of being posted.
