EMS response time questioned after car crashes into restaurant

An ambulance took 48 minutes to arrive on scene after an elderly woman trying to park crashed into the building

BUFFALO, N.Y. — Rural Metro response time is being called into question after it took an ambulance 48 minutes to respond to the scene of a car into a building on Hertel Avenue.

The car slammed into Kostas Family Restaurant in Buffalo Tuesday just before noon.

Fire officials say the 90-year-old driver was trying to park her car. The Williamsville resident hit a parked car before jumping the curb.
