COLERAIN, Ohio — Nearly four months after she was run over by a car, an 8-year-old girl gets to thank the paramedics who came to her rescue.

Kayla Donley was hit and dragged by a car last May. The accident shattered her right leg and ankle. She was moving pretty well for a girl run over by car just three and a half months ago on Labor Day. And she was on a mission to deliver a message to the medics who came to her aid.

Kayla said, “Thank you for helping me.” Four of the five paramedics who made the run were at the firehouse to meet her and give her a tour. They showed her the ambulance she rode in to the hospital. She got to sit in the seat of a fire truck. It was a dramatically different situation than when they all met at Sheldon and Royal Glen last May 16.
