NEW YORK — An off-duty Brooklyn paramedic was killed on Thursday when her motorcycle struck a parked truck and caught fire.

Maimonides Medical Center Paramedic Christina Gardini, 27, sustained severe burns in the crash, according to the New York Post. A medical examiner’s report on her exact cause of death is pending.

The truck was double-parked about two blocks from where Gardini lived and was unoccupied at the time of the collision.
