MARCO ISLAND, Fla. — Nicole A. Henricksen of Philadelphia, Pa., was recognized with the 2024 Pinnacle Award of Excellence at the 19th Pinnacle EMS Leadership Forum. The award honors individuals who have demonstrated outstanding contributions to the EMS profession.

Henricksen, who has worked in EMS for 30 years, is the regional president for Global Medical Response. She is a graduate of Fitch & Associates’ Ambulance Service Manager program and a fellow with the American College of Paramedic Executives, Pinnacle reported in a press release.

“Receiving the Pinnacle Award of Excellence is an incredible honor. This award not only honors my personal journey in EMS but also the incredible support and collaboration of the many dedicated professionals I’ve had the privilege to both learn from and work with,” Henricksen said. “It’s a testament to the power of teamwork and the shared commitment we all have to improving the lives of those we serve. I’m humbled by this recognition and inspired to continue pushing the boundaries of what we can achieve together.”

She enjoys leading and inspiring others in EMS, with a passion for fostering employee engagement, development, and well-being to help people connect with their higher selves and each other.

“I’ve known Nicole since she attended our Ambulance Service Manager program in 2017 where she was a star pupil, being an active leader in the class. I’ve had the opportunity to work with her and get to know her more in the years since, watching her leadership skills grow and flourish along the way,” Fitch & Associates senior partner and Pinnacle Program Committee co-chair Anthony Minge, EdD, EdD said. “Leadership success is not just about individual achievements but also creating an environment where others can thrive and succeed and Nicole embodies these traits.”
