This week’s Photo of the Week comes from Hall Ambulance in Kern County, Calif., which celebrated its 50th anniversary on Wednesday.

To mark the occasion, President and CEO Lavonne C. Hall presented selected EMTs and paramedics with the keys to four new 50th-anniversary ambulances. The employees assigned to the new ambulances were chosen for maintaining their current ambulances to company standard and upholding the founder’s ideals of care, compassion and community.

Hall Ambulance was founded on Feb. 10, 1971 by Harvey L. Hall. The agency started one of the first paramedic programs in California in 1975 and has served 88% of Kern County’s population since 2014. After his death in May 2018 from Creutzfeldt-Jakob disease, Harvey L. Hall’s legacy and leadership have been carried on by his wife Lavonne C. Hall.
