46 treated for food poisoning at Md. food distribution business

Howard County Fire and Rescue personnel transported patients to several hospitals after an isolated food poisoning incident in Jessup

JESSUP, Md. — Dozens of people were sickened after eating at a food distribution business in Jessup on Monday afternoon, according to Howard County Department of Fire and Rescue Services.

Samantha Stanton, a spokeswoman for Howard County Fire, said 46 adults were taken to hospitals Monday with suspected food poisoning.

In a release, Howard fire officials said all of the victims became ill after “allegedly eating the same food” from a business in the 7700 block of Chesapeake Bay Court in Jessup. None of the patients was in critical condition, officials said.
