Hero of the Week: Responders carry patient in snow

They carried the patient down snowbound streets for about a mile to the hospital

This takes the ‘back in our day we had to walk a mile in the snow’ anecdote to a whole new level.

Firefighters carried a patient 10 blocks when snowbound streets made it impossible to get vehicles in or out of South Buffalo Mercy Hospital.

This is a great example of first responders going above and beyond, and we would like to honor them with our EMS Hero of the Week recognition.
