NEW YORK CITY — Artist Ray Trosa was having a medical emergency and went into cardiac arrest in April, and members of FDNY Station 49 resuscitated him, ABC7 reported.

Last week, he not only gave the EMS providers who treated him a piece of his art, he also celebrated his 50th birthday with them.

Trosa visited Station 49 and spent time with EMTs Zelman Shapira Jr. and Sandra Cotton, Paramedics Ralph Maisonneuve and Yani Borukhov and Lt. Tony Voxakis, who all responded to the call that saved his life.
