Calling all EMS photographers! EMS1 wants to see pictures of you in action or training. Submit a photo — it could be selected as our Photo of the Week! Be sure to include your name, department information and some background on the photo.

This week’s Photo of the Week comes from the Audrain Ambulance District in Audrain County, Missouri, which recently concluded the first year of its EMS Explorer Program.

The EMS Explorer Post was hosted in conjunction with the Boy Scouts of America and led by husband-and-wife paramedic team Katy and Derek Deener. Explorers participated in training sessions including first aid, splinting, team building and “Understanding ALS.”

“These kids bring hope and joy to a brighter EMS future for their community,” said Lead Advisor Katy Deener.

The Explorer Program’s second year will begin in November.
