PERTH, Australia — A St John ambulance was attacked with bats and the medics in it were threatened by a group of people who made a hoax emergency services call.
The medics responded to a call for a girl who had been assaulted Saturday at 3 a.m. When they arrived at the scene, they were surrounded by a group of 10 people, who started smashing the ambulance with bats, The West Australian reported.
The two medics were not injured but one of them was told, “You are going to die tonight.”
One of the medics set off a duress alarm, alerting the police, who intervened and arrested a 16-year-old girl and two men, respectively 41 and 48 years old.
The girl was charged with making threats while the two men were respectively charged with disorderly behavior and with damage.
