Pittsburgh boy calls ambulance to save grandma

Raymond Levy, 4, is being credited with saving Patricia Coulehan’s life, says Batman would have done same thing in emergency

PITTSBURGH — A 4-year-old Pittsburgh boy calmly called for an ambulance when his grandmother had a medical emergency Tuesday.

Raymond Levy is being credited with saving Patricia Coulehan’s life, but he’s playing down his actions — and says Batman would have done the same thing in an emergency.

Raymond was alone with her Tuesday when she fell ill and rolled off the couch. She was able to tell her grandson to call 911 before she lost consciousness and stopped breathing, according to KDKA-TV.

“I said, ‘I need an ambulance for my nana,’” Raymond said. “She just rolled off the couch, and I told them the address.” Medics transported the woman to an intensive care unit, where she is currently being treated.

“When I got there, the cop was like, ‘You need to be so proud of him,’” Raymond’s father, Scott Levy, said. “‘He’s the one who called 911. You need to be very proud of that kid.’”
