BROWNSBURG, Ind. — A Brownsburg Fire Territory ambulance crashed into a creek after losing control on an icy roadway while returning to its station following a call.
The crash occurred around 5 a.m. on Jan. 10 as the ambulance traveled on County Road 550 East, WISH reported. Officials said road conditions were extremely hazardous, with ice covering the roads. The ambulance struck a guardrail and overturned into a creek.

The department stated that a full response was dispatched. The two crewmembers were safely extricated from the ambulance using a ladder and transported to a local hospital as a precaution, in accordance with protocol.
No patient was inside the ambulance at the time of the crash. Both crewmembers are reported to be in good condition.
