GREEVILLE, Ohio — To mark National Farmer Appreciation Day, Spirit EMS thanked farmers across Loramie and Washington townships in Shelby County, dispatching two dawn teams to deliver personalized thank-you cards and compact multi-tool kits directly to the fields. President and CEO Brian K. Hathaway said the family-owned company aims to give back to the communities it serves, noting the multi-tools, equipped with pliers, screwdrivers, scissors and more, help farmers make quick, safe repairs without returning to the barn.

Vice President Aaron Guthrie, Captain Will Gardam, John R. Hathaway Jr., Jeannie Lewis, and Jessica Park assisted with the deliveries. Established by the American Farm Bureau Federation in 1970, National Farmer Appreciation Day honors the essential role farmers play in the nation’s economy and food supply.
