ENGLAND — A senior paramedic who told ambulance controllers a patient was ‘too large’ to be removed from his flat has been struck off.
Lisa Pennance also faked an emergency call to avoid taking the man to hospital when he was suffering from a blood clot on his spine. A conduct hearing was told she failed to properly assess the man and made a bogus radio call to a junior colleague saying a sick baby was not breathing so that they would have to leave him.
The former North West Ambulance Service paramedic has now been struck off by the Health and Care Professions Council.
