BRADFORD, Pa. — Police say a paramedic who was trusted to save lives helped himself to a supply of morphine and tried to cover up his tracks.
Brandon Landuyt is charged with reckless endangerment, falsifying records and several counts of felony theft. Bradford Police say the 31-year-old paramedic stole morphine from ambulances and refilled the bottles with saline to hide his crimes.
Landuyt worked for the Bradford Fire Department for the last 18 months. Earlier this month, fellow paramedics found bottles of pain killers had been tampered with. Police say the paper trail led to Landuyt, and he confessed when interviewed.
