NORFOLK, Va. — A drunken man stole an ambulance and crashed into five cars Tuesday night.
WVEC.com reported that Lamont Davis, 25, got into the private ambulance that was parked at Sentara Norfolk General Hospital and drove off.
After driving off, he crossed a median, crashed near an intersection and got out of the vehicle and ran off, according to the report.
“I thought it was a bomb or something,” said Carly Decerce, who was inside her apartment when she heard a really loud crash, according to the report.
Davis was charged with DUI, grand larceny and hit-and-run, according to the report.
