OXNARD Calif. — California firefighters are angry after an ambulance in Oxnard was shot at with a BB gun while at the scene of an emergency call on Sunday.
CBSLosAngeles.com reported no one was inside of the vehicle at the time and no injuries were reported.
A photo posted by Gold Coast Ambulance on its Facebook page showed the window of the ambulance was shattered but still intact after being hit with the BB.
“Gold Coast Paramedics are the first line of defense for all 911 emergency calls with highly trained paramedics who are an asset to our community, as well as OFD firefighters and police,” the Oxnard firefighters union wrote. “If they go down, we go down.”
Oxnard police currently have no suspects.
