INDIANAPOLIS — A wrong-way driver slammed his SUV into an ambulance early Friday morning on Indianapolis’ north side, killing him and injuring the ambulance’s driver, police said.
The wreck happened shortly before 1 a.m. just north of the intersection of 16th and Illinois streets.
Officials said the driver of the SUV, Richard Malloy, 27, of Indianapolis, hit several mailboxes before striking the ambulance head-on.
