WAREHAM, Mass. — Firefighters and EMS rescued a man who fell into a bay Monday afternoon.
Wareham Marine Unit 5, police, fire rescue and EMS were dispatched to save the man, who reportedly fell out of his boat when a gust of wind caused him to lose his footing.
The victim was spotted 50 yards off shore yelling for help, reported Wareham Village Soup.
First responders swam out to the victim with lifejackets; the marine unit reached the man at the same time. The man was taken aboard the marine unit, brought to shore and examined by EMS.
The victim was released without injury.
