WACO, Texas — Paramedics took over lawn duties for a 98-year-old woman when they saw her working in 90-degree weather.

KWTX reported that the crew was in between calls when they spotted Margaret Durham, 98, mowing her lawn. She appeared to be overheated; the paramedics got out of the ambulance and finished the job for her.

“She’s elderly and looked exhausted,” paramedic Kent Haney said. “She was on a dangerous slope of the yard, possibly could fall and lose control of the lawn mower and injure herself.”

“She said that we were angels sent from heaven,” EMT Matt Linda said.

Now that they know she lives there, the paramedics plan on driving by and checking on her on a regular basis.
