BETHLEHEM TWP., Pa. — A worker in a Bethlehem Township food plant may have broken his arm when it was caught in a machine early Thursday, according to emergency radio reports.
Firefighters and paramedics were dispatched at 12:28 a.m. for an industrial rescue at a plant in the 3700 block of Hecktown Road where a 30-year-old man’s arm reportedly was stuck in a machine.
As emergency workers arrived at the plant, they received word the man’s arm had been freed from the machine, but the arm still was bleeding.
Paramedics radioed that they found the man “in extreme pain” and suffering from a possibly broken arm and wrist. The bleeding quickly was brought under control and he was taken to a hospital.
