GERMANTOWN, Pa. — An accident involving an ambulance has prompted the need for additional medics in Philadelphia’s Germantown section Monday morning.

A vehicle collided with the privately owned ambulance just before 7:00 a.m. at the intersection of Chelten Avenue and Boyer Street.

The ambulance was transporting two patients when it was struck. Both patients and the driver of the car suffered minor injuries from the crash, but will be OK.

Medics responded to the scene.

No word yet on what led to the accident.
