WATERFORD, PENN. — A Pa EMT is in serious condition after his ambulance rolled over in an accident on Thursday.
EMT Joseph Blaedy, 54, along with 5 others, were transported to the hospital after the Elgin-Beaverdam Hose Co. ambulance went off-road, according to the Erie Times-News.
Two others besides Blaedey were admitted to the hospital. Melvin Crawford, 76, who was driving, and Ethan Reed, 22, are in fair condition.
The ambulance was transporting Reed to the hospital when Crawford experienced an unspecified medical condition that caused him to veer the ambulance off the road and hit a culvert, sending the vehicle into the air. It landed on its roof.
The three others involved in the crash did not require further treatment at the hospital.
