Ambulance was taking patient to hospital when another car sped by, firing at it and following car

FORT WAYNE, Ind. — Three people were shot and a medic was injured after a drive-by shooting at an ambulance carrying a stabbing victim.

The Sunday morning shooting occurred after a man was stabbed at an entertainment center during an altercation, according to the News-Sentinel.

Medics treated the unidentified man at the scene and were en route to the hospital with the victim’s family and friends following close behind when another car sped by the two vehicles opening fire.

All three people in the following car were shot and stopped at a nearby gas station to meet medics. The medic in the ambulance was cut by the shot-out glass.

The three civilians are in stable condition while the medic is in fair condition.

The suspected vehicle was later found by authorities, and the four people inside were arrested.
