Tenn. medic injured in hit-and-run crash

Police said the driver fled the scene after hitting a Memphis ambulance and injuring a paramedic

MEMPHIS, Tenn. — A Memphis Fire Department paramedic is recovering after being injured in a hit-and-run crash involving an ambulance.

Police responded to the crash on Madison Avenue at North Bellevue Boulevard on March 25, WREG reported. The vehicle responsible for crashing into the ambulance fled the scene.

The paramedic was transported to the hospital.

Investigators said the suspect vehicle is a light-colored or silver four-door sedan with damage to the driver’s side front and rear doors. Anyone with information is asked to call CrimeStoppers at 901-528-CASH.
