SOUTHAVEN, Miss. — Several warehouses damaged by a tornado that hit Southaven in February are reopening for business.
The Bound Tree Medical warehouse suffered the worst damage. Company officials have reopened the 69,039-square-foot distribution center at the city’s industrial park.
The center is a specialty emergency medical products and pharmaceutical distributor. It was rebuilt after the Feb. 5 storm and has been in operation for the past two weeks.
DeSoto Economic Development Council president Jim Flanagan says other tornado-damaged warehouses located in the industrial area have also recovered from the storm.
Proliance International Inc. has been back in operation since July and Cooper Lighting, a manufacturer of lighting fixtures, is in the process of rebuilding its warehouse.
