LINCOLN, Neb. — The minutes in the back of an ambulance can mean the difference between life and death.
National EMS week celebrates those who fight to save lives. And, less than two months after paramedics helped him survived a heart attack, one Lincoln man wants to say thank you. “If this would have happened 10 or 15 years ago, I don’t think I would have had this outcome at all,” heart attack survivor Mike Persson said.
Mike’s morning started as usual: get up and get ready for work until his chest didn’t feel right. He and his wife headed to the emergency room, but the pain was too much so they stopped at Lincoln Fire and Rescue Station 6.
