WEATHERFORD, Texas — Parker County Hospital District EMS announced Thursday that its supervisors and field training officers will wear body cameras starting on April 1.

“We are committed to providing the highest quality emergency medical care to our community and we believe that transparency in our actions is the way to achieve that goal,” the agency said in a Facebook post.

“BWC recorded video will not be a part of the patient care report. BWC videos will be archived for 90 days and then automatically deleted. If required, by either law or PCHD policies, videos may be retained for extended periods,” the agency said in the post. “The footage will be accessible only by authorized personnel. All data collected will be handled in accordance with applicable laws and regulations and with the utmost privacy.”
