Acadian Ambulance recognized top EMS clinicians across its four-state service area

BATON ROUGE, La. — An Opelousas paramedic will be honored as Paramedic of the Year Tuesday as part of Acadian Ambulance’s Medics of the Year Celebration.

Hailey Reviere, working out of the company’s Hub City District, was selected for the honor along with Jinina Wilson, who works in the North Louisiana Region and will be honored as EMT of the Year.

The two will be honored along with regional medics and EMTs of the year at a banquet at 10 a.m. Tuesday at the Heymann Performing Arts Center, 1373 S. College Road.

Reviere, who has been with Acadian since January 2018, has exceptional clinical skills, sound judgment and calm presence allow her to deliver thorough, evidence-based care on every call, Acadian officials said.

A graduate of Acadian’s National EMS Academy, she serves as a field training officer, critical care transport paramedic, preceptor and strike team member to mentor new medics.

She and Wilson were selected from a field of 33 honorees representing Acadian four-state service area, as well as its Acadian Air Med, Acadian Health and Safety Management Systems divisions.

Regional honorees include:

  • Capital: Paramedic Kaylee Dugas and EMT Morgan Wilson
  • Central Louisiana: Paramedic Don Martin and EMT Shelly Craigen
  • Central Texas: Paramedic Jordan Wells and EMT Mattie Rhoden
  • Houston: Paramedic Danielle Spencer and EMT Andrew Gaylord.
  • Hub City: EMT Bailey Begnaud.
  • Mississippi: Paramedic Cindy Milligan and EMT Aubreigh Jackson.
  • North Texas: Paramedic Thomas Johnson and EMT Unique Lowe.
  • Northshore: Paramedic Matt Primeaux and EMT Kole Bavaret
  • Orleans: Paramedic Eric Smith and EMT Chris Burmaster.
  • South Central Texas: Paramedic Blaine Leachman and EMT Vincent Floyd.
  • Southeast Texas: Paramedic Jenne Crane and EMT Kevin Kester.
  • Southwest Louisiana: Paramedic Chris Rogers and EMT Megan Wiley.
  • Tennessee: Paramedic Kristina Riddle and EMT Stephen Mosby.
