JACKSON, Miss. — An expecting mom was able to thank her rescuers thanks to Facebook.
WJTV reported that Destiny York was on her way home from shopping for her unborn son when she got into a car crash.
“My biggest fear is that something had happened to the baby,” York said.
York suffered minor injuries, including bruises on her stomach.
“Trying to stay clam in an accident alone is difficult, let alone the thought of your unborn child and something happening to the baby,” she said.
York posted a message on Facebook to find the paramedics that helped keep her calm.
Jim Brown, a paramedic for AMR, said it was nice to be remembered.
“When somebody thanks you for what you did, then you really know that you did the right thing,” Brown said.
The baby, whose due date is in May, is OK.
