Firefighter investigated for EMS test cheating ring

Sources say a firefighter allegedly designed a website to help colleagues housing actual pediatric advanced life support exam questions

ORANGE COUNTY, Fla. — An alleged cheating ring is under investigation after sources say a website made by a firefighter includes a collection of certification test questions.

WFTV.com reported that the website has the same questions that would show up during certification in pediatric advanced life support. Sources say it was allegedly designed by an Orlando (Fla.) Fire Department firefighter to help colleagues avoid having to study the actual procedures.

“A situation was brought to our attention regarding these allegations,” fire department officials said. “We take such matters very seriously. We are currently conducting an investigation and will release our findings following the conclusion of the investigation.”

Questions about whether the test was administered or firefighters were on the streets with bogus certifications remain unanswered, according to the report.
