DRAPER, UTAH — Celebrate EMS Week by running in the 2016 EMS Appreciation Week Virtual 5K/10K organized by the Virtual Running Club.
The lead-up to the race, which will make a donation to the National EMS Memorial Foundation, has been a great experience for all involved.
“EMS professionals do so much to save and protect us, it’s an honor to provide a race that celebrates them and their families sacrifices,” Holland Newton, a Virtual Running Club representative said.
EMS providers, as well as their friends, family and supporters can complete the race wherever and whenever it is best for them. People can run or walk alone, outdoors, in a group, on a treadmill or with friends.
There are flexible registration options starting at $15. A full registration includes a medal and shirt shipped to the registrant for $35. The race event starts May 15 and runs through May 21. You can register here.
“I am running the EMS Week virtual race to support the National EMS Memorial Foundation and to challenge other paramedics to focus on their own fitness and wellness during EMS Week,” Greg Friese, EMS1 Editor-in-Chief, said.
