Ark. EMS systems merge to expand coverage, upgrade resources

Assets and crews from Crittenden EMS move to Pafford EMS as Osceola’s mayor says a single provider will streamline coordination

OSCEOLA, Ark. — Pafford Emergency Medical Service purchased Crittenden EMS on Aug. 5, bringing all of Crittenden’s resources under the Pafford banner to serve communities across the Delta region.

KAIT reported the transition includes new ambulances, upgraded equipment and the same dedicated medics who have long served the area.

Osceola Mayor Joe Harris Jr. says his priority is ensuring that residents have access to first-class EMS.

“I am very, very pleased, and look forward to working with Pafford,” Harris said. “I feel as if they are going to offer us a top-notch service.”

Harris said a single provider will simplify coordination for the city, but his priority is ensuring Osceola gets the best possible EMS, a standard he believes Pafford meets.

“Everything that we can get, we want it here in Osceola. Pafford, being a first-class service, I know the citizens will be happy,” he said.
