HOLDEN, Mass. — A fire department ambulance transporting a patient to the hospital was involved in a three-vehicle crash Wednesday morning. No one was seriously hurt.

The accident happened about 10:45 a.m. at Main and Shrewsbury streets.

The patient was then brought to the hospital by a West Boylston ambulance, and a passing Rutland ambulance transported a driver from one of the other vehicles to the hospital, according to Holden police.
