CLEVELAND, Texas — A toddler is being hailed a hero after dialing 911 when her mother passed out.

ABC11 reported that Dorothy Craig, 3, grabbed a cellphone and called 911 for help after her mother fell unconscious to the floor.

“Her fall on the floor and was dead on the floor,” Dorothy said, according to KHOU. “Her was dying.”

Dispatcher Lela Holley said she pinpointed the location of the cellphone to their street and notified police, who spent 30 minutes going door-to-door.

Police eventually found Dorothy, her two-year-old brother in a sink full of water and her 5-month-old sibling in a car seat, and they said the incident could have been much worse if Dorothy had not known what to do.

Dorothy’s mother, Miranda, said she taught her daughter how to dial 911 due to her narcolepsy.

“When she was really little, I taught her how to call 911. And she’s done it for me twice now, and she’s my little ... she’s my little hero,” Miranda said.

“You wouldn’t wake up from the spell,” Dorothy said to her mom, “and the cops broke the spell.”
