Ambulance collides with SUV; civilian killed, EMS crew injured

The ambulance was responding to another crash when it collided with the SUV

HANCOCK COUNTY, Ind. — Police have identified the driver of an SUV who died in a crash involving an ambulance in Hancock County Wednesday.

Sheila Breck, 64, of Greenfield, died in the crash, which happened near the intersection of Mt. Comfort Road and CR 500 North around 4:30 p.m. Wednesday A Buck Creek Township ambulance was responding with lights and sirens activated to another crash on Mt. Comfort Road when it collided with Breck’s SUV traveling west on CR 500 North.

Breck was taken to Hancock Regional Hospital in Greenfield, where she was pronounced dead.
