CINCINNATI — A woman faces criminal charges for stealing an ambulance to drive home from the hospital.
An EMT dropped off a patient at the ER around 11 p.m. Thursday. He returned to find his ambulance missing and contacted Cincinnati police to submit a report.
It had been taken by Lisa Carr, a 43-year-old who was discharged from the hospital earlier that evening.
According to a police affidavit uncovered by CBS News 10, Carr said she saw the unattended ambulance was left running and hopped in “because she missed the last bus.”
Police used GPS to track the missing ambulance, and arrested the woman outside of her residence once she parked the vehicle.
She was booked into jail around 12:30 a.m. Friday on charges of theft, failure to comply with police and driving under suspension.
