PALM BEACH COUNTY, Fla. — Two members of the Palm Beach County Fire Rescue happened to be in the right place at the right time when a passenger collapsed on their flight.
Captain Eric Price and Firefighter-Paramedic Sam Adler were traveling to honor five PBCFR members being added to the IAFF’s Fallen Firefighter Memorial in Colorado Springs, Colorado, when a fellow passenger passed out while walking down the aisle, WPTV 5 reported.
Price and Adler jumped into action, moving the passenger to the back of the plane and providing medical care until the plane made an emergency landing in New Orleans. There, members of the New Orleans International Airport Fire Department took over patient care.
“All we did was the right thing,” Price said when asked about the incident.
