LOVINGSTON, Va. — A Schuyler woman faces charges of pointing a gun at rescuers after she wrecked a car in Nelson County.
Virginia State Police say no shots were fired and there were no injuries.
State police spokeswoman Corinne Geller says a car driven by 25-year-old Samantha D. Tyree-Vest ran off the road and went up an embankment Saturday evening.
Tyree-Vest is accused of pointing a handgun at firefighters and EMS personnel as they approached the car to help her.
Geller says they told the woman to drop the gun and she complied.
Tyree-Vest was arrested after she became combative during the crash investigation.
She was charged with first-offense driving under the influence, possession of brass knuckles and two firearms charges.
