TAHOE NATIONAL FOREST, Calif. — The rescue of the man buried in snow by an avalanche was caught on the helmet camera of a fellow skier on the mountain. The video shows a skier making his way down the mountain when fresh snow starts sliding, eventually burying him.
The man with the helmet camera spots the skier in trouble and rushes to where the man is buried. With only one of the man’s hands poking from the snow, he tells him to keep calm whilst he digs him out of the snow.
With the weight of the snow it takes a while for the man to be dug out and for him to scramble to his feet.
