MILL VALLEY, Calif. — Calif. firefighters and paramedics rescued a driver who fell 150 feet off a cliff over the weekend.
The unidentified driver did not sustain any life-threatening injuries, according to the San Jose Mercury News.
Fire crews had to use chainsaws to cut through heavy brush to get to the driver. Responders then put in the driver in a rescue basket and brought him back to the road using a rope and pulley system.
Paramedics took the motorist to the hospital where he is expected to recover.
A hiker had seen the crash occur and called for help. Firefighters say they don’t know what caused the crash but said the roadway was wet during the time of the incident.
