NEW YORK — Firefighters and medics from FDNY hit the heights earlier this month for high-angle rescue training on the Roosevelt Island Tram.
Operations covered included bringing a rescuer to a stranded tram car over the East River, using a second tram car to reach the stranded car and transfer patients for removal, and lowering a patient to the ground.
